COMMENTS: Wonderful views of lower trail system. Easiest to ride up Collar Bone Hill to gain the ridge but many find Mack a great way to complete a loop with Troy's or Lion's in either direction. We avoid Collar Bone Hill because it's lose gravel DT and has no descent views. TRAIL TYPE: SINGLE TRACK 80%, DOUBLETRACK 15%, IMPROVED DIRT ROAD 5%
APPROXIMATE RIDE TIME: 1.5-2.5 hours DIFFICULTY: Advanced with technical sections of singletrack.
RIDE DESCRIPTION: Finish Lion's or Troy's and begin climbing well marked DT to the Mack ridge ST. Follow the ridge. You will descend a short, very technical slickrock obstacle mid-ridge. There is a final overlook before you descend toward the portage area. The remainder of the ride is a downhill balancing act on wire thin single track to the tri-trail BLM cattle guard. Go left down the Mary's cutoff to the access road and left to the Mack ridge parking lot. MAP OF RIDE: [HIGH RESOLUTION MAP]
