COMMENTS: This loop is not ridden as much as the rest of the Tabeguache, but has a lot to offer. There are solid uphills, technical singletrack and fast rolling trails. The views around the backside are spectacular. Due private land toward the end of the ride, the route meets up with Eagle's Wing ridge. Don't ride the low valley back to the parking area.

STARTING POINT: From Gand Junction, travel west on Grand Avenue, which turns into Broadway.  Cross over two bridges, at the next stop light turn left on to Monument Road, follow the signs to the Colorado National Monument , go approximately 1.5 miles, there will be a large gravel parking lot on the left marked with a BLM sign for the Tabeguache Trail.

RIDE DESCRIPTION: Start at Tabuguache Tralhead parking area and go up the dirt road to the southwest. At mile 0.5 the road turns right up a short steep hill. Continue on the road until you reach the bottom of Widowmaker hill at mile 1.5. You will know the Widomaker when you get to it. If you are part superhero you can ride up the hill, otherwise walk your bike up and continue on the road to the south. Continue straight past the Eagle's Wing cutoff at mile 2.1. You will reach Little Park Road (paved) at mile 2.3. Turn right on Little Park Road and look for a singletrack than cuts off to the right at mile 2.6. Follow the singletrack into the valley through several technical sections. After a short portage you will reach the Ribbon cutoff at mile 3.0 in the botttom of the wash. Turn right and ride down the wash for a third of a mile where the trail turns sharply uphill. Portage up the hill and the fun begins. Decend down the singletack into the valley. As you reach the bottom you will ride some gulley bottoms. The singletrack begins the climb back up a gulley to the ridge at mile 4.8. Reach the ridge at mile 5.2 and turn downhill on the ridge. After a ride through the gulley, you will meet the jeep road on which the ride started. Turn Left (norht) and ride back to the parking area at mile 6.2.
